Dr. Alan Litwak Dr. Alan Litwak has been with Box Hill Pediatrics since 1988.  He is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison and completed his medical training at the Universdidad Central del Este and the University of Connecticut-School of Medicine.  He interned in Pediatrics at the Interfaith Medical Center, Brooklyn,N.Y. and then completed a Pediatric Residency and Chief Residency at the Columbus Childrens Hospital, Columbus,Ohio. He is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.

Dr. Litwak is married and has two children ages 11 and 14.

Dr. Chasnow

Dr. Marci Chasnow has practiced pediatrics in the Baltimore area since 1986, and joined Dr. Litwak in this practice in 1989.  Dr. Chasnow is a native New Yorker who attended Boston University School of Medicine and completed her pediatric residency at the University of Maryland Medical Center.  She enjoys caring for children and watching them grow and develop into unique individuals.  She finds pediatrics very rewarding and enjoys the challenge of interacting with all ages of children, from birth through adolescence.  She is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.

Dr. Chasnow is married to Dr. Tim Topoleski, a professor of engineering, and shares her home with two greyhounds, a cocker spaniel,  and an assortment of other pets.  She sings in the Canticle Singers of Baltimore, and her other interests include scuba diving, biking and travel.

Dr. Hopkins Dr. Katherine Hopkins is a proud graduate of the College of William and Mary in Virginia.  She received her medical degree from the University of Virginia School of Medicine in Charlottesville, Virginia.  She did her pediatric residency at Johns Hopkins Hospital.  She is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.

Dr. Hopkins contributes a regular column on childrens health issues to the Mothers and More newsletter, Harford County Chapter.  She also makes herself available to speak to local groups on childrens health issues as well as parenting strategies.

"I believe children learn best by example.  I think it is very important to eat a healthy diet, exercise regularly and remember that patience is a virtue.  Do I practice what I preach?  Well, I can say I always wear my riding helmet not because it is the smart thing to do, but because Im afraid Ill be caught by one of my patients if I dont!"

Dr. Gopul Dr. Sunitha Venugopal is an East Coast girl born in South Jersey. She attended college at Penn State and completed her medical studies at Philadelphia's Jefferson Medical School. Her interest in pediatrics was refined during a residency at NJ's Children's Hospital.

Like many kids, I have a short attention span.  I enjoy dabbling in a variety of things...from sculpting and learning new cultural dances to rafting and skiing (actually, tumbling down the slopes).   My current project is to try to combine the first two and create a Degas-like figurine.  So far it is like a stick figure, but I will continue until it's right (or skiing season starts, whichever is first).
