"I believe children learn best by example. I think it is very important to eat a healthy diet, exercise regularly and remember that patience is a virtue. Do I practice what
I preach? Well, I can say I always wear my riding helmet not because it is the smart thing to do, but because Im afraid Ill be caught by one of my patients if I dont!"

Dr. Sunitha Venugopal is an East Coast girl born in South Jersey.
She attended college at Penn State and completed her medical studies at Philadelphia's Jefferson Medical School. Her interest in pediatrics was refined during a residency at NJ's Children's Hospital.
She is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and is a Fellow of the
American Academy of Pediatrics. Like many kids, I have a short attention span. I enjoy dabbling in a variety of things...from sculpting and learning new cultural dances to rafting and skiing (actually, tumbling down the slopes). My current
project is to try to combine the first two and create a Degas-like figurine. So far it is like a stick figure, but I will continue until it's right (or skiing season starts, whichever is first).
